Location was good host was welcoming room upstairs was a good size and having the ensuite was great just wasn't fond of the really high bed and it's old spring mattress might be time to retire that uncomfortable squeaky thing. In addition I was a little uneasy knowing we had no locks on our bedroom doors when we went out and whilst we were sleeping especially noting other guests were staying in other rooms and we didn't know anyone from a bar of soap.
It is a lovely home and Doris is a superb host. I was traveling with my daughter and we had a good night's stay. Was served fresh breakfast and Doris made extra eggs seeing my daughter's fondness for eggs. This was my first time staying at a home stay in Canada and after hummingbird b and b, I am going to look for more home stays while traveling instead of hotels! Something to do with helping small and local businesses. As the name suggests, there are hummingbirds in the backyard which comes to feed from the bird feeder, Doris has kept!
On a road trip with my daughter. Spent one night. Room was comfortable and clean and the host was extremely welcoming. She let us use the kitchen to heat up food we had brought and to store stuff in the fridge. She had breakfast ready for the time we had requested. She was also very informative about the area. I'm only sorry we didn't have more time to stay.
We had a wonderful stay here. Doris is an amazing host and if you get the chance, stay here. You wouldn’t think she is 83 years old! The house is beautiful and spotless. Less than a minute drive to the entrance of Wells Gray PP. Bed was so comfy and breakfast hit the spot. Thank you Doris. We wish you well x
We had a very pleasant stay. Doris is a very friendly host. Every morning there was fantastic breakfast. Always nice conversations and tips for the day trip. Nothing was missing, everything was always very clean. Also the room very quiet and the bed a dream. We will be happy to come back.
